Remove the western halves of Washington and Oregon, and the western third of Northern California to around say Santa Rosa, because of the gloom and/or rain 6-9 months of the year.

Now, chop off Southern Nevada, the Mojave Desert, the other SE California deserts, Southern Arizona/New Mexico, and West Texas. All of these are far too hot for too long.

What's left? The Central Valley, the Inland Empire, and the California coast. Sac beats Redding (WAY too HOT), Sac beats Fresno and Bakersfield (both hotter than Sac). Sac is at least relatively mild in the winter, the IE can still have spells of heat, and has more unreliable rain. So Sac beats IE. Sac doesn't beat anything on the coast, but it DOES beat everything else (as we have just proven ).
Good analysis. I have a thread in the Sacramento threads that talks about this.

Nope, I'm inspired by the natural beauty of the area. I'm glad I'm able the adequately respresent the area in my photos.

You know, Sacramento, East Bay, and South Bay used to look like this before it got bulldozered.Stop to think about some of the names such as Foothill Farms, Fair Oaks, Citrus Heights, and Orangevale. I lived in Sacramento when Sunrise Mall was out in the middle of a field. I hope it never happens here, but one can only hope. With the Bay Area running out of land, I'm afraid it's just a matter of time.

That's like asking where's my favorite fishing hole. I tell you, you tell your friends, and in a year there are hundreds here.
