There is also the possibility of Dalidio selling his land, and some one else builds a mall....but I think Dalidio would end up building a Macy's and Target regional open-air mall with low-scale stores that don't compete with downtown, an arcade and food court for teens to hang out at, and get popular tenets and will end up paying half of the interchange.

How about now that we're in 2020? Looks like the population projection has fallen short and housing prices still seem quite high. Thoughts anybody? @the city?

The city and county have gone downhill as far as livability if you are middle class or below. Most people I know, like myself, want to leave or have left. It was actually a pretty good place to live in the 70’s to 80’s. Then Los Angeles, the Bay Area discovered it and it went down hill over time. It will only get worse from what it is now.
