There is a saying Rome wasn't built in a day
The same with Silicoln Valley , and it will be the same with other cities
Look at China, people weren't paying attention and out of nowhere they became a massive economy
People only thought it happened overnight because they weren't paying attention .

I guarantee there's a city out there now that nobody is taking seriously and will be considered an important city in the next decades .
You look at history and throughout the world this has been true
I can't wait for our Huns/vandals to tear down our Rome and make us affordable again

There is no next Silicon Valley Perma Bear.

What i expect is SV will continue it's domination but some cities will pick up some of talent but not very significant.

Just as usual.

I made a similar thread before. The general concensus was that it would spread into Gilroy first before it would head anywhere else. That is a long time away. Sonoma County is still growing as well as the East Bay. There is no need for companies to locate to such a rural area.

Then your salary would be proportionately lower and you still couldn't afford a SFH.

Lots of people got their salaries cut , or furloughed during recession. If " Rome got torn down " I have a feeling it wouldn't be great for the economy.

I thought you were a non-military government worker. If so then your salary would depend on whatever the local government is paying. So you would get less in Kansas than you would in New York City.

If there were an economic crash and everyone's salary fell, the government would get less tax income and therefore they would have to reduce government servant pay. At point everyone serving the state of California was getting IOUs instead of paychecks.

That's not the case for all branches of the federal or local government. There are agencies that have flat pay

Uhh . . . you do realize that tsunamis are of tectonic/earthquake origin and not a product of weather and climate?

When Global Warming happens it'll still have a mild climate but will begin to resemble LA weather more while SF and LA become uninhabitable.
Humboldt Counties climate is NOT like San Francisco.

Arcata/Eureka has nearly twice the rainfall as San Francisco.

And global warming is already happening, and has been happening for the past century. And while not with consequence, the consequences will not be dramatic enough to make a major movie.
