Ripon is a small town so its pretty easy to figure out. Its also better than surrounding communities for young families. The school district is good and there's also a good and sizeable private school system there.

Default Ripon is nice

I live in Manteca, which is just north of Ripon. I think Ripon is a very nice, small, quiet town. It is in between Manteca and Modesto, so you are close to towns with a variety of shopping and other things. It is a couple of hours to the mountains or ocean, so it's a day trip to get a change of scenery. If I were able to, I would gladly move to Ripon. The housing there seems to be a bit more than the surrounding towns, but I think that is because it is a desirable area. It seems like it would be a good place for kids, although I do not have young children, but I know people who do, and they seem happy there. Good luck in your move and may everything go smoothly for you.
