What is so great about this proposition passing, is that it's an issue with no boundaries or had fierce opposition politically.

You had both Republicans and Democrats voting YES on the prop. It was honestly about time anyways, a lot of people smoke weed, even ones you would never expect.

Cops, doctors, lawyers, everyday citizens smoke to help relax and them calm down after a long stressful day. I see no problems with that.

It's better to smoke and be high off maryjane than being addicted to opioids. It's been a lot time coming and it will be a huge boost to our economy statewide if everything goes well.

Better yet, Porn stars can smoke it while making a movie and still do not have to wear a condom.

I would also imagine that it probably has similar contentions as alcohol. No open container type deal. IDK.

I don't smoke weed and don't really have any interest in it.
Each city/town/county makes their own regulations, Arvin is the only one I have heard that has set regs. They have up until i/i/2018 to do so before the prop is in effect.

And they're just announcing that there was a problem with the bill and they can't collect taxes. So everyone that voted for it thinking California will get billions in taxes....yeah.

Hopefully at some point they'll get a law through to collect taxes.

I voted for it even though I've never used it, I'm just sick of the issue and think it's a pointless battle. It's the same reason I was ok with the SCOUTS ruling on marriage equality.

I've always wondered how it was legal for a State to pass a law that directly contradicted a Federal law to begin with.
