Hello everyone,

I am moving to California from New Jersey and I was wondering if I have to take the written test again to get my CA license. I am pretty sure I don't have to take the driving one, but I don't know about the theoric.

Can somebody help me please?

Thank you

Even more specifically:

To apply for a DL, you must complete a Driver License and Identification Card Application (DL 44) form. You can obtain this form at a local DMV field office or by calling 1-800-777-0133 and having it mailed to you. You must complete the DL 44 and pay any licensing fees. For information regarding current licensing fees, visit the DMV website at www.dmv.ca.gov. You will be required to take a knowledge test, vision exam, and if necessary, a driving test.

Pick up the booklet they have at the DMV, you can read it in a half hour and all the questions are taken pretty much directly from it. Most of the questions are common sense, but there are some very specific 'speed limit in this zone' type questions that'll ********* up if you aren't ready for them.
