I think more fit into that category than all of the others combined.

Of the people who I have known to leave, ALL of them fit into that category.

Most were newly married and wanted to start a family.

How is the climate in Austin or Orlando? Does the idea of taking a walk at 2PM outside appeal to you today? [mod cut]

[mod cut] Fact is the people who leave by and large are the low income folk and non- college types. At least those who didn't learn a trade.

Also funny is tons of people start families in CA. [mod cut]

[mod cut] I'm #5 a single female that was born here saved my money and bought in 02. Now I'm cashing out and trying another lifestyle in another state because I'm bored here and want to slow down my life. Oh and I own a business so I've been paying all my and my business taxes and not a yuppie or union pensioner.

Don't quit your day job and become a psychic.

This state is not going to "blow" (whatever that means).

Correct, its a balance and if that balance tips to far where you are not happy then you go elsewhere. There are a lot of good places to live in this country even if the weather isnt relatively as good. Other factors can over ride...
