My wife and I are considering a move to either NoCal (possibly the South Bay area) or LA area / Santa Monica - or somewhere in OC. We still are weighing things out and it seems like a tough call. I would just love to hear from salespeople in these areas who have to travel to clients at all times of the day and even evening. Because I work with insurance and families I usually won't be travelling during morning rush hours. But I will likely have to travel all over whatever metro area we decide to live in. I will not be selling in one specific locale.

I'm curious because I hear the traffic is soooo bad out there, but it's sure no picnic out here in NYC either! I know open freeways are a thing of the past out there but just wanted some opinions and advise from fellow sales folks out there! If you were us moving from manhattan NYC to Califonia with fairly mobile careers which would you choose and why?

Thanks so much!
