Hey Sunny! Welcome to the forum. I'm an old surfer and my wife is from San Diego. I've surfed from the tip of Baja to Humboldt along the West Coast, Hawaii and Tahiti as well. SD has some great surf spots with La Jolla, Cardiff, Carlsbad and Oceanside being my favorites. While I don't get out there as much as I used to, I've been enjoying teaching my son to surf up here in Monterey. If you haven't already, you may want to check out some surf spots along the Central and Northern parts of the state as well. If anything, its fun just to explore new areas. Big Sur and Santa Cruz are very beautful locations.
