They'd have to get it there. It would be very expensive to build that infrastructure (did you notice? The state struggles constantly with finances), plus it would be very expensive to desal enough water for agriculture

No, they would not have to get the desalinated water to the agriculture. The water from the ocean would be used for the coastal metro areas of SF, LA and SD. Then the water that was imported to the coast will stay in the center of the state for agriculture. The desalinization will be expensive, but what in California isn't. It's the prices we pay for the weather.

The weather has nothing to do with it. People do, bot those living in CA and the politicians. The weather is what it is, and costs nothing. Makes a nice excuse for charging people though.

Um, people don't come here for the weather? Why are all these people wanting to move to California on this board? People who will put up with higher prices because of the weather. People want to retire here because of the weather, putting a strain on social services. All these people wanting to move here because of the weather drive up property values.

YEs, but CA is not all that perfect when it comes to weather, just some areas. Plus NY is as expensive and weather there is not all that great. People, politicians, illegals and a host more of other reasons raise the cost. Yes more people on the same land area raise prices too, but it ain't all about the weather or NY would be cheap.

NY is expensive because of all the jobs. Funny how the job creators love to crowd jobs into liberal areas of the country.

Dunno....

desalination

The Pacific Ocean is highly radioactive. Radioactivity cannot be removed. The media has played along with the massive cover-up of the death of the Pacific from Fukushima. Fukushima didn't just happen in March of 2011 and then just stopped itself. It has been on-going ever since. All those melt-downs, melt-outs and melt-throughs are not to be ignored. It is the reason for the mass die-offs of sea life. It is an extinction level event.

Dana Durnford has proven it over and over again, but, he has been attacked and demonized for finding and documenting the truth. The tide pools are the "soup of life", as he calls it. It is the "nursery of the ocean". The tide pools all along the British Columbia coastline are no longer colorful and full of life as they once were. How can something like that be ignored? Sooner or later, it will catch up with all of us.

No one likes to be the one to bring bad news, especially news such as this, but I support Dana and always will.

Water shortage? No problem. Just burn hydrogen to get dihydrogen monoxide.

More US citizens move out of CA than move in. The weather is a draw for some.

NYC is crowded, the rest of NY is like a lot of CA.

Look how that has worked out for 34% of those living in CA.
