So no conclusive evidence this guy was sleeping on the job.

Just that he was in the closet. No one knows what he was doing.

This is why they have unions. So alt right conservatives with no factual proof, do not make things up with out evidence.

If he was sleeping on the job, his NON UNION supervisors should have been aware of that.

If anyone sleeps on a job, a supervisor should be catching this. But they are not. Why?

Because NON UNION supervisors are sleeping on the job instead of monitoring their workers.

Being a BART janitor is worthy of the medal of honor. It is way braver than the fake stories of "war heros" the military puts out. This guy cleans up the slop from all the ugly looking bay area people and their filth on BART. He is a war hero as far as I am concerned.

As a war hero and patriot I take offense to this.

Most likely other public employee leeches.

Humm, what was he doing for in some cases over 2.5 hours in a storage closet? Notice no materials were coming in and out, so it wasn't stocking it, etc. Twice a day?

He may be a hard worker when... working, but what was he doing for over 4 to 5 hours on these days and getting over time for it?

Well, this is a great thread isn't it! Eight pages with 75 replies covering one of California's very most common, everyday problems. I mean it's about time we address the issue of thousands upon thousands of CalTrans employees who sleep in closets on the job while racking up overtime. Why, the whole state runs this way! All the time! CityData Forum readers to the rescue! This sort of civic participation should get the state straightened out in no time flat! Well done OP!

When are we getting our tax dollars back?

This is a fun thread with no real purpose except to have fun posting. It is CA after all, and fun is king.

Transparent California

when you look up this guys info, you will see that the $270k+ includes medical benefits. while i'm not defending his behavior, his supervisor should've fired him for his abuse of the system, we should realize that he's not really getting paid $270k

This shows how little you know about the situation.

It is NOT a supply closet, it is a huge storage room with an adjoining office, many equipment, bulletin board, tables, and many people going in/out.

The guy in question was videoed walking out of the storage room with an empty lunch box. Does it mean he wasn't slacking? No. Does it mean he was? No. All this shows is that your conclusion is based on very little knowledge.
