Most likely moving to Siskiyou County later this year. My wife and I are both over 5 Years sober and we are hoping to get connected to others in AA around the Mount Shasta area. Any good meetings? Men's, women's, nooners? I honestly have not been to a meeting in over a year. I'm not a step guy either but something is telling me if I move to a new town...I should get connected and get to know a few sober people. THANKS!

All AA meettings are good, go to one and get a local directory and go to different meetings till you find one you like the most.

When attending their first AA meeting, the majority of the people are a bit nervous. However, this is expected as you’re entering an environment that you’re not familiar with it before. It’s perfectly normal to experience anxiety about something unknown, and you can fight that by learning what happens at an AA meeting. This way, you’ll be less anxious and more prepared for your first meeting. [/FONT]
