Its been an amazing year for snowfall in the Sierra Mountains. I'm picturing the waterfalls going off the charts in the Valley. I'm looking forward to seeing the falls.

I would also imagine its going to be a while before Tioga Pass opens through Tuolome Meadows and across to US-395.

The good news is Hwy 120 will reopen into the Park Monday, May 1st.

For those who enjoy backcountry High Sierra hiking trails such as us, its probably going to be while until the trails and lakes are snow free. I don't even mind a little snow. But I'm looking forward to the melt-off as well.

Glad to see they're finishing up with repairs, too. Just in time for their busy season. You're right about the snowfall, Derek. I bet there's still snow at the highest peak come time for the next snow season. A nice change over what we've had for the past five years, though. With all the run off, you can be sure river rafting will be back at full steam.
