Might have the chance to take a trip to Las Vegas (been there a few times) next month. Might be staying for about 3 weeks. Was thinking of going to San Diego again (which is quite nice) but it's the same sun/beach/palm trees as here. Would a trip to Palm Springs and Palm Desert (and maybe Yuma) be worth it? Is there enough things to do for a few weeks in those locations?

I love San Diego but want to see something different.

If you like very hot weather like Las Vegas then do not do SD. Palm Springs is best in the Winter.

Do not go to Palm Springs in the summer, that's crazy talk (writing).

We were in Palm Desert (right next to Palm Springs) for a few days last summer and it was 117. Might as well go to Death Valley. On the other hand the place where we stayed was very cheap because it was off season.

How about a trip to the Sequoias and Yosemite?

The next few days in PS are going to be 122 degrees. And it's only June.

It's a 122 in Palm Springs today. You won't see much other than the inside of your hotel room.

Go to San Diego.

But it's a dry heat, lol. I used to live in Palm Springs and couldn't stand the summers there. It is beautiful in the cooler months though.
