And learn to separate posts into smaller paragraphs, as well as not chiding people for not having a brand of knowledge (this is for 805citizen).

Yeah, dunno why that is, but adding onto aging posts really seems to annoy the color-inside-the-lines, anal-retentive folks?! When actually, resurrecting the thread just taught me some interesting stuff about Orcutt, would otherwise never have known… thanks!

Mind you, not my personal experience, but many Santa Maria threads here indicate such.
It's not migrating at all. Orcutt and Nipomo are far better than Santa Maria.

Regarding, the healthcare question....we have four hospitals. Marian Regional Medical Center in Santa Maria, Arroyo Grande Community in Arroyo Grande, and two in San Luis Obispo. The two in San Luis Obispo are Sierra Vista and French Hospital, French being the better of the two.

Orcutt, btw, I think will become a city and not be a census designated place in about 10 years as SB County keeps cutting funding for the town. Santa Maria looked into annexing Orcutt and found it would be too pricey to annex Orcutt because it has a lot of roads that need work.

The worse thing about Santa Maria though is it lacks high paying jobs. The low-wage retail and farming jobs are by the far the majority.

Default The date of the OP's question or the last comment is irrelevant

I disagree. Your point is an irrelevant one because as long as the thread is still open, people keep coming for information, including me. I appreciate added comments.

Some people, though, who feel the need to editorialize rudely on the contributions of others, need to learn some manners and get a life.

I really enjoyed reading your summary of Santa Maria/Orcutt. Thanks for taking the time to write it.
