Nah, I get to drive on very nice roads here, low gas costs, minimal congestion, no State Income tax. Why fight in CA for a losing battle.

The politicians in CA (and everywhere) know how to spend money, but not how to use money, and they don't care. They are not economists.

The 100 million for bike and pedestrian projects represents 3.5% of the budget.
The 25 million for freeway service patrol (clearing wrecked vehicles from the freeway to reduce traffic) represents less than 1%.
The 25 million for sustainable communities planning grants represents less than 1%.
The 7 million for transportation-related research at UC and CSU represents less than one quarter of 1%.

Do you understand that the 1.9% diverted to parks and rec is required by state law to be directed there?

yea you really don't understand... This tax was forced on us on the premise and promise it would all go to roads, bridges and dams. Now we are told that 157 million plus is going to bike lanes and universities etc so yea that's shady but I expected no less.
