The Trump administration shares some of the blame for the market turmoil. If Obamacare ultimately goes into a death spiral, that will be seen as part of the reason.

According to news reports (from this evening's broadcast), three companies will offer insurance in California (I thought it was more but what do I know?) Anyway, two of them may drop out which will leave one company. Now that's what was on the news tonight. Maybe hearsay, I don't know for sure but if it's true, that's going to put the insurance company in a nice pocket. They can jack the rates up as high as they like.

Honestly, does Trump really know that by holding contractual payments to insurance companies, he isn't hurting them or him or the cronies in DC. The only people he's hurting are those who buy ins plans through the ACA.

And, supposedly, today it was reported that he considers the WH a dump.
I keep thinking I'm still in a deep sleep and will awake from this nightmare any minute.

Or not.

From the OP's link,

"Said exchange CEO Peter Lee, rates across the state would have dropped about another 3 percent if the 11 insurers offering plans on the exchange weren’t so worried about the Trump administration’s potential to undermine the Affordable Care Act."

Insurance companies had a good run. They made their Trillions at Tax Payer's expense.

Obamcare care wasn't Health Coverage. It was a smokescreen to loot trillions from tax payers into the Pockets of Insurance Companies.

The obamacare subsidies are illegal. They were not part of the law. Just like how Obama removed all the portions people didn't like that might have possibly maybe one day made it somewhat close to being money neutral a decade down the line.

Obamacare is basically a wild aberration that would never work and that was when it was signed. Then Kabila removed all the taxes and started handing out money like it was going out of style of keep it afloat, turning sustainable obamacare basically into a unicorn, it just doesn't exist. Now whenever republicans talk about dealing with the unicorn that is Obamacare democrats go around talking about how republicans are killing people. Democrats even say the cbo says 20 million won't have insurance but all the cbo says is some people might not choose to buy insurance o that is why it will go down. All the republican bills do is give people freedom of choice; isn't that what democrats are? Pro choice?

Right now insurance companies are bleeding because of Obamacare, this they jack up the rates in other health sectors and make that back and then some. The reason my premiums are higher is because the insurance company looses money on Obamacare patients.

Their are solutions, mainly raining in costs, no state boundaries and allowing anyone to set up an insurance group besides business. But taking more money from the working class, taking a slice out for government and then handing the remaining out as benefits isn't one of them.

Do conservatives do any research? Or do they just make things up as they go along? LOL Do you even know how insurance work? It's a pyramid scheme.

Bleeding? They recorded record breaking profits.

Also reported that Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield is leaving California in 2018. But I have no idea what that really means but it doesn't sound good.

ACA was a fraud conceived by lying shysters who DELIBERATELY DECEIVED THE AMERICAN PEOPLE.

So what the hell did you expect? That it was good? That it would be financially viable? Or even a good idea, let alone well executed? Remember how many hundreds of millions were wasted just on the website alone? A spectacle that could never occur in "the real world" of the private sector. These were all clues.
