Not much of a change, but some. Good news.

It also shows that Trump had nothing to do with the hikes, greed did.

Actually it shows what can happen in a state with a good regulatory system, that is why they lowered the rates

No it shows the failures of regulations vs market forces. They had to have a regulatory body artificially enforce an imaginary price ceiling. The ObamaCare market places are still devoid of providers and the little that were actually left have been jumping ship for the past 12 months. Do you think this recent regulatory bullying is going to attract any of them back?

They were jumping ship even before that.

People cannot, for political reasons, admit that while the ACA "Idea" was good, the implementation of it was not. Until they get off the political horse they will keep riding into the swamp.

Oh yeah the first defections started 2 years ago, but I'm talking about the massive jumping off the ship, which started with the Aetna announcement earlier this year. That was a shockwave but shows just how bad ACA is implemented when an entity that large basically says "Can't make money off this, we're out!"

Normal delay, most people start abandoning something a bit later than earlier, but they do leave bad programs.

Doesn't it, though?

One reduces premiums for households with incomes between 100% and 400% of the federal poverty level, or up to $98,400 for a family of four this year. That subsidy is effectively paid directly to the buyer or taken off the top via a reduced premium. The cost-sharing reduction (CSR) reduces out-of-pocket expenses such as deductibles and co-pays for households with incomes up to 250% of the poverty level, or $61,500 for a family of four. The buyer sees only reduced out-of-pocket charges; the insurers are reimbursed separately by the government.

Those reimbursements were what Trump canceled, citing a federal court ruling from 2016 that they were illegal. But the judge in that court stayed her ruling until it could be reviewed by an appeals court. The Obama administration defended the payments in court and the appellate case was still ongoing last week, but the Trump administration said it would terminate its defense.

Trump doesn't know it, but his attempt to blow up Obamacare could help California

Like I said, the courts founds it unconstitutional.

The ultimate end goal of this is to bring democrats to the table to negotiate on a fix to Obamacare.
