Instead of Sacramento or out of state?*

Lompoc, arcata/eureka/mckinleyville, Santa Maria, salinas, Watsonville, and Guadalupe seem like far better choices from a scenery/weather standpoint and you could easily get jobs there or start your own business.

Because you're still stuck in a bizarro world ran by leftist loons that want to put grown men in girl's bathrooms, replace taxpayers with poor people dependent on the government, take away your guns, and take every cent you have via taxes.

Hot/cold weather bugs me more than that. I would rather have 80 degree summers,

The Central Coast of California is mostly rural and the towns don't have much ammenties. Houses are NOT cheap. Big Sur has alot of homes in the million dollar range.

https://www.zillow.com/homedetails/4...19389256_zpid/

So the answer to your question OP, it doesn't matter if you're in a big metro area or in a small isolated town, coastal California is premium land so you better cough up premium money kid.

Not bad. Home's are in great condition. In LA you'd get a runned down fixer upper with that budget.

I'd like to know the answer to your question to. I assuming it's because it's in the far northern end of the state and the infustructure is less developed. That or theres a mountains seperating the town from the coast kinda like how the Santa Monica mountains blocks Thousand Oaks.
