Oh really? Show proof of this alleged killing spree/genocide. Make sure to show statistics relating to other racial groups if you are claiming wrongs against one group.

This is why studying history is valuable and important. I would have liked to have learned about this in school, as a California-raised-and-educated individual. The value of threads like this is that we learn how much our education omitted. And when we learn what kinds of things were omitted from the history lessons, it starts to become clear why they were omitted.

Thanks to Tulemutt for choosing to rejoin us, if only temporarily, and posting his OP. The 'Mutt is back!

Such topics are indeed historically noteworthy both for conversation and study. However, for some strange reason, the obsession of those who dwell on such topics seems to be to exclusively portray whites as attackers and non- whites, as victims. I have yet to see serious discussion about, say, Barbary Piracy and the horrors it caused for hundreds of years.

Well, this is a California forum...

Is Tulemutt obsessed? Or were you thinking of someone else?

Fortunately while in School in OC in then50's and 60's, I did learn about things like this including the Trail of Tears. Despicable, yes, but not limited to whites. Many Indian tribes abandoned their aged when they were unable to do anything the leaders thought worthwhile. Left in the dust to die of thirst or get eaten. Many tribes were at war constantly and would have been happy to eliminate the other tribe. This is not an ethnic thing, but a human one.

Excuse me for pointing out that you have just contributed one of the most remarkable examples of stupid false equivalency in the history of CDF. Abandoning their aged? Abandoning? Please educate the readers here on which tribes did that ... other than in the course of survival priorities under stressful conditions (in which circumstances the "aged" sacrificed themselves willingly, btw). Which isn't in anyway equivalent to the national and state governments commiting willfully deliberate, strategically designed and executed genocide of entire peoples.

And to what extent can you compare warring tribes territorially attacking each other on equally primitive terms - to the genocide by modern (by comparison) troops equipped with advanced technology weaponry and limitless supplies against primitives?

And, finally, who here has presented any of this thread as a referendum on "whites"? ... Even though it is well documented historical fact that whites did this, there's been no parallel inference drawn to the white races being evil.

Just an interesting history lesson folks.

It doesn't take that many people to conduct a campaign of violence against the population at large - is everyone forgetting April 1992?
