Since this website covers lots of topics, including people's visits to places and things to do/see, I want to start a thread about activities/sightseeing/experiences that people recommend as well as which time of year to do them (perhaps even with the reasons why).
I'm living in/around Los Angeles, so I definitely appreciate things more relevant to the southern part of the state, but I love traveling and am fine with comments about other areas.
Obviously, one way to plan museums/hiking/activities is to take note of when things are open/closed, but I venture that the weather is better for some things in the winter and other things in the summer. Please share ways to map out a year in this state.
Since I have a national park pass for the next ten months, I welcome any advice on where to go and when.
