I LOVE California as a visitor. I pity its legitimate residents who grind daily
Yah, assuming the tax has been reported as stolen, it would. CA has LPR cameras in a lot of places including patrol vehicles too. We're not Luddites.

I have photoblocker spray on my rear plates. And I don't run front plates.

I got a red light ticket once like 20 years ago and that was the end of front plates for me. Decided never again.

And just for an extra measure of protection...the photoblocker spray for the rear plates.

Is that what that is when you see someone's back license plate and all the white paint is worn off down to the grey metal? I see that occasionally and I wonder why the state doesn't make them get new plates.
Or is that from some knock-off photo blocker spray?

No, the spray paint is clear but when a flash photograph is taken of the plate, the reflection obscures the numbers. It doesn't change the appearance of the plate.

Worn off paint could be due to excessive wear and tear on older plates.
