care in Redding is? Specifically for a Senior on low, income like myself, with Medicare and Medicaid. Finding a dentist in Redding is difficult, I found. I did find a clinic called Western Dental and saw some horrible reviews on it so if anyone knows better about WD, would you let me know?

I HAVE to get out of Crescent City although I love the more, moderate weather, and the people, it has no reliable healthcare or dental for low-income folks. I have found a lovely, Senior Apartment building, and they've accepted me on their "wait list", but until something comes up (if ever) I have to travel to either Redding for my dental (no health issues, for now anyway) work, or, University of CA in San Francisco). They are wonderful there, all good experiences, but the travel on 101 is a heartache from where I live now.

Thanks in advance, for any help, Denise

I'm not quite sure if you're planning to move to Redding or are just asking about healthcare there, but there is a long time poster here NoMoreSnowForMe who moved from Redding to Crescent City. She lived in senior complexes in both. She now lives down in the Bay Area, but she might be able to answer your questions. Try sending her a private message if she doesn't respond in this thread.

I looked up some of her previous posts for you in the archives and they might be helpful as well just in case she doesn't respond. Here are a few threads from the archives where she (and others) posted about Redding that might be helpful to read through if you are thinking of moving there, although they are not specifically about healthcare in Redding:

Thank you so much Rosie and I remember reading some of nomoresnow's posts. I didn't realize that she had also lived in Redding though. Can't thank you enough for your reply and I will go look at your links now, Denise
