Both of my boys were born at Glendale Adventist. Although we lived in Pasadena. I just really liked the OBGYN at Glendale Adventist. It was only a few extra miles away.

I was actually born in Maryland (Silver Spring), but we moved to San Mateo when I was 6 1/2 - so that would be my original California town.

Manhattan Beach. I recently looked up the house I first lived in on Zillow, it was "estimated" to be worth just under 3 million. And it was still 999 sq feet and never re done. Lordy.

It’s insane, huh? My childhood home was a large (4000sf?) Victorian in San Mateo Park, which my parents originally purchased in 1983 for around $500K - my mother sold it after they divorced in 1997 for just over a million, and now it’s worth like 5-6x that price! I would say she should have held onto it longer, but it was too much space and taxes/maintenance for her to maintain alone. Oh well.

I was officially born in Spokane, Washington at Sacred Heart Hospital in 1981. Parents lived in Hayden Lake, ID but my birth was complicated and mom needed the doctors in Spokane. Dad worked on Fairchild AFB near Spokane. They moved back to California when I was 4 months old. I grew up in the San Fernando Valley and the Santa Clarita Valley.

My dad was born in Palmdale, California in 1958. Dad's family on one side go all of the way back to Mexican California and were Spanish ranchers.

My mom was born in Denver, Colorado in 1956, but lived in Orange County (Santa Ana) from the age of 5 through high school.

My younger siblings were born in Sylmar (1985) and Newhall (1989). One brother lives in Newhall, the other in Palmdale.

My mom and dad are retired and living in Palmdale.

Eureka, CA. St. Joseph Hospital. Great place to grow up, not a great place to launch into adult life.
