What city/town in California are YOU originally from? Just out of curiousity, of course...

Me, I'm originally from Indio (born and raised). I was born in the John F. Kennedy Memorial Hospital in December 1998, but didn't start living there until December 2004.

I lived in Indio for the longest parts of my life (which were first from Dec. 2004-Feb. 2009, then from Oct. 2010-Jan. 2011, and finally from April 2011-present).

So, now, where in California are YOU originally from?

Oh, and if you would like, why not provide several facts about your California hometown (whether I had already known it or not) as well? I'll start:

1. Indio is known as the "City of Festivals" due to its numerous festivals celebrated each year in the city.
2. Excluding Death Valley, Indio sometimes boasts some of the highest record summer temperatures in the U.S.
3. Indio is the 89th largest city in California (population-wise, of course), and is perhaps some of the fastest-growing cities in the State.

Perhaps I'll provide some more facts for my hometown in the future.

Montrose. Just a small community in the Crescenta Valley between the SFV and SGV. Was born at the Queen of Angels Hospital in Glendale. In the very old days, the Crescenta Valley was a location of weekend get-away homes for the rich and famous.

Had tons of family in Merced back in the 60s and 70s. Loved to visit them, but hated to spend the night. Their houses were right under the flight path of the B-52s landing at Castle. All night long screaming planes every 30 minutes.

I'm kind of a "construction brat". We moved all over the state whenever my dad went out on a new job. The longest period of time that we stayed in one town while I was growing up was seven years in Oakdale (from age 7 - 14). I consider that my hometown. Have a deep and nostalgic spot in my heart for it. Great town to be a kid in.

Me too. Born in Children’s hospital in the City. We moved to West LA when I was 13. Yuk! Hated LA.

I remember my parents driving from the City to San Mateo and we passed through all this open countryside along the way. Late 50s/early 60s.
