I love that they left a podium empty with his name on it.

So, Gavin Newsom doesn't care if he gets the Asian votes. What arrogance. We need to be sure he isn't elected governor. He can't even show up to his commitments as Lt. Governor, and now he won't even show up to the debates. I cringe at the thought of him waltzing into the governor mansion. I hope he gets a nice surprise on election day. I know I'm not voting for him.

Of course he doesn’t. He’s an flashy sleezy opportunist. But Californians like well-known names over actually knowing what their candidates stand for, so Newson will likely win.

No, not-very-smart Tony Villar will win since the DNC needs to maintain identitarian options and Gavin, even as a dedicated SJW, just don't cut the mustard in that department.

That seems to be the expected outcome, but we'll see. Maybe he's thinking he'll be one of the top two, and won't need to campaign until October. And he'll bank on people's memories being short.

I think Tony is the best option, as far as experience and dedication. I like Chiang, and even though he's definitely the man who could figure out how to work with the state budget - so he's realistic about that - he doesn't have the experience needed to be governor, to be a leader. He just doesn't come across as a good speaker or leader. And, that's part of the job, too.

The other candidates just differ too much from my point of view (Cox slammed Mexico and Mexicans and said he'd support Trump - ugh), or don't have the leadership skills or experience needed to be governor.

Tony's not perfect, but I think he's the most perfect candidate for the governor's job.

Gavin wants to be in Washington DC. Wish he'd just move there, but he wants to use us to get there.

Will it make any difference that Villar cheated on his wife?

Newsome had an affair with his campaign manager’s wife. The guy was also his friend. Nice way to treat your friends.

Former aide to Gavin Newsom speaks out about their affair while he was San Francisco mayor

I think it’s required to do that in order to get your cheat on your wife merit badge when you’re a mayor. Sleaze ball Newsom has to get his too.

John Chiang said he'd prioritize eliminating the untested rape kit backlog, which gets him my vote.

Tony is 4th place in a lot of polls. Wouldn't it be a shocker if it ends up being John Cox vs Travis Allen 2 republicans?? It'll never happen but fun to imagine
