Is this true? I hear this every election but the old gal is still there and getting older by the day. This latest debacle with Kavanaugh has really taken a toll on her. She's looking more tired than ever.

Feistein will lose a lot of votes from her previous supporters because of the Supreme Court Justice hearings. The fact is that she is the senior ranking Senator that could not stop the confirmation despite her political hit job. Kavanaugh will definitely be confirmed.

Definitely going to be interesting to see how this election turns out. I hear there are record number of people registering to vote. I'm glad for that. For too long, people have been complacent about voting. I'd like to see that change. Maybe all this SC turmoil has been the tipping point.

If Feinstein goes, I won't be disappointed. I'm not a fan but now I'll have to contend with Kamala Harris. Her very emotional and heated display at the senate debate today was terrible. I had to turn down the volume as she was almost yelling. I don't like that in politicians. (I did like Collins, though) Still haven't decided who to vote for in the governor's race. I'm focusing on the Propositions right now.

I have no idea what you're talking about. More of your convoluted responses.
You posted a link and applauded Joe Biden for his "battle for America's soul" comment. What is at stake supposedly?

You apparently have me confused with another poster with CA in his/her user name.

My post and a few posts by others about the underdog candidate have mysteriously disappeared. Huh?

SF chronicle endorses the liberal elitist hometown boy.. surprise surprise ..

Huh ? Providing healthcare to all including all illegal aliens is grounded in reality ?
They must be smoking some good Chronic at the Chronicle ..

“Newsom, by contrast, is grounded in reality. His platform includes a commitment to move toward universal health care, though he readily acknowledges it could take years — and a power shift in Washington — to achieve. ”

The really disappointing thing about Collins, was that she said she believes a victim of attempted rape could actually not remember whose eyes she was looking into, while he was attempting to rape her. Does anyone with a brain in their head really, honestly believe that a woman wouldn't remember who, exactly, was trying to rape her and who she thought might actually kill her - especially when she knew who he was, by name and personal experience?

I just can't understand how anyone could possibly think she wouldn't remember who her attacker was. It's just a completely insane excuse to simply move the GOP agenda forward, regardless of the new devil they just made a deal with.

And God help them when their daughter or granddaughter faces a situation where she was raped or attacked, or wanted an abortion and Kavanaugh supports some crazy right wing agenda to deny her the right to make her own decision regarding her own body, or sides on rapist's allegations that just because nobody else was there who is willing to be a credible witness - it must not have happened.

What's happening is absolutely frightening. I feel like this must be what it felt like in Germany when Hitler was coming into power. People must have kept thinking - no, this can't really be happening, surely things will go back to sanity...

Fortunately, we can change things, but people must vote. It's our only defense. And it's no laughing matter. We simply must start voting for sanity and empathy and reasonableness.

You're projecting. Even Collins acknowledged that Kavanaugh would side with the right to choose. Sensationalist fake news.

I disagree. He deliberately delayed the young immigrant in Texas from being able to get a legal abortion in TX before it would be too late. His delay tactics were overturned by a different judge, so she could get her legal abortion, but the reports are that he was absolutely livid that he didn't accomplish his goal.

He's been very clever at appearing like he was actually just trying to weigh the options, etc., while effectively actually moving forward his conservative agenda.

Perhaps Collins is simply naive, but I think she's just like most politicians who vote according to what will benefit her own self-serving interests first and foremost.

Just like Senator Jeff Flake. He likes to portray himself as bucking Trump, but he never actually stands behind his own rhetoric. At this point, he just makes me nauseous.

But, back to the point - Kavanaugh may not actually vote to overturn Roe v Wade, but that doesn't mean he won't vote for some new case law that will achieve the same thing. I believe that's exactly what he has in mind. Just like him deliberately delaying the immigrant girl from being able to get a legal abortion. There is more than one way to skin a cat. And this guy is as slippery as they come. He may never vote on specific cases regarding overturning Roe v Wade, but he can achieve the same result by voting on new cases that want to do the same thing.

So, does that make him honest? Not on your life.
