So I'm thinking about making a documentary concerning the 80's punk/metal/skater/surfer/stoner scenes in California with a focus on said scenes connection to that era's gangs .

I know that some fans of the band Suicidal Tendencies were known to be affiliated with street gangs and also that the whole Peckerwood gang culture emerged as a result of fusion between the above mentioned subcultures .

What's with your preoccupation with terrorism, gangs, seedy life, fighting, violence and speakeasys?

Very little in the black/brown communities, especially after rap took over in the late 80s. Check out ms13 origins and the band body count(ice t's metal/punk band)

Could you list something you've produced so we can see your work?

I know Black Flag were banned from playing many venues because of violence in their audience - - do you consider skinheads to be a gang?

LADS – Los Angeles Death Squad

Punk culture did have some cross over with cholo culture in the early 80s. Check out the photo section.
