This was very far from Socialism. In fact, the US was in a Cold War against Socialism.
Now what's different between post war America and now? Oh yeah, unchecked illegal immigration, sanctuary cities, unchecked homelessness, and NO PERSONAL RESPONSIBILITY.

Waaa, my life sucks, it must be somebody else's fault

I'm sorry you're unhappy with your life. Mine's pretty good. Personal responsibility is about contributing to the common weal. That's what taxes do. You'd rather have charities running public schools, fire departments, police departments, and now--the State Department and the US embassies--the latest government function to get slashed in the recent giveaway to the rich. You're ok with Socialism, as long as it's for the rich.

WAAAHHHH, they're taxing me! Uncle Trumpty-Dumpty, make them stop! They're being mean! Where's my blankie?

Where do you get this “unchecked illegal immigration”? It’s checked left and right. And the numbers have trended way down to the point of reversal since the recession.

Oh wait! You’re on Chump’s twitter feed, huh ... my bad... Carry on with your histrionics while your hero gives away the national treasury to the people who don’t need a dime more.

You guys want to help people, but what are you doing about it other than raising my taxes?

Do you take in homeless people? Do you volunteer at ESL classes? Do you help feed the down trodden?

1. I don’t raise your taxes

2. Yeah, I’ve supported homeless people many ways many times for 25 years. Mostly veterans, because of my military background. Some of us serve ... and then serve some more.

Then there’s people like you ... who just take for yourself without giving squat back.

You’re welcome. Happy to do your share for ya, bub.

No one is forcing you to do anything, you have options. It seems that a Country with no government and no taxes might be perfect for you, I hear Somalia is nice this time of year

So is Venezuela, which is where California is headed. Look how well it's working out for them.

This thousands of Americans heading down there because it's so great, has got to stop.

Umm, that's kind how capitalism works. I produce a product or service, you decide if it's worth it to you.

No one's forcing you to buy anything.

Yeah ... er no. What is it with these ignorant references to Venezuela lately? Has Venezuela EVER even come remotely close to having a strong world economy? Has it been one of the most desired destinations? Is it .... oh, never mind.

The notion that California is somehow going to be separately “socialist” from the rest of the U.S. is silly enough ... let alone that Venezuela is chosen as a representative paragon of socialism ... as I noted before: how about Germany?

Get a grip.
