Of course, it's irritating that the default assumption here is "if you don't park your car in your garage, it's because your garage is full of worthless junk that you don't bother to declutter and organize the way I do."

Even if we did put two cars in our two-car garage, we would still have two cars on the driveway/street.

Cue the line, "Why do you need so many cars anyway? We get along just fine with two."

It funny, since we moved to CA we notice almost everyone parks in their car n the driveway. When we drive by and their doors are open, we see the garages are full of stuff.
But we have also noticed far less storage in the homes we looked at here, mostly because of most having no basement.
That said we put one car in the garage and one in the drive. 2015 base Subaru with nothing left in it. Most of the break ins seem to happen to more expensive cars.
