Gas prices are up all over the state.

Gas prices are above $4 for first time in five years: https://www.cbsnews.com/news/califor...in-five-years/

Makes sense that the outliers like the Central Coast, the far Mojave Desert, and anywhere up the Hwy 395 corridor would have the highest prices. Statewide, they generally have.

One thing that no one realizes or takes into account is their distance from the refineries/loading facilities.

Not only is there the base price/current market to contend with, but the cost of trucking it in alone typically adds anywhere from 8-12 CPG. And many fuel haulers won't touch these kinds of runs because of how inefficient they are: it's a one and done, out and back for the driver and that's his whole full day legal shift. Some drivers love these easy shifts. Most trucking companies however do not. They would rather stay local where they can turn anywhere from three to eight loads in a shift, depending on distance and traffic.

I still can't believe the gas tax repeal failed. How stupid can people be. Our Communist attorney general worded the title never mentioning that it would repeal the gas tax increase. This tax is for the rest of your life and it's a lot of money, the Communists spent a fortune to fool the people. Man I hate the goverment in California. The Communists rammed this gas and car tax through without any input from the voters.

Let’s not forget the gas tax is indexed to inflation and can rise over the original .12 cents.
