Yeah but like many immigrants they leave after a while.

Gets down to 55F and they leave CA and head south.

Good! They're a delightful group and are very much needed in the state. So popular at one time, there's a nursery rhyme song dedicated to them, albeit is it a bit morbid. They've been so scarce in recent years, I feared they would never return so this is wonderful news. Sorry to the naysayers who want to limit population growth but I'd rather have them as neighbors than those who litter the land with their beer cans, plastic bottles and McDonald's hamburger wrappers.

Hmm...

Are their aphid eating skills up to par?

Are we checking to see if ladybugs from abroad can do it for cheaper?

(Wait. Their ancestors ARE from abroad....imported from Australia over a century ago).

They need to be careful in those Crip-dominated hoods in LA.

But, but they do poop on the streets (well OK on leaves on the plants by the streets), they sleep wherever they want, ignore stop signs, pay no taxes, eat at the homeowners cost (Water and fertilizer for the plants), and fly without any license or training, wow what next.

Illegal immigrants? Don't worry, they're hard working, and just looking for a better life.

They won't cost is a thing

Flying at 5,000-9,000 feet? I guess that is one way to avoid windshields and predators.
