If that's true, my apologies...but I still wouldn't call you 'pro-gun' if you think the new ammo law is ok......sorry JMHO....

Hmmm... "probable cause"... let's see

* broken tail light <SMACK!>

* "Swirling while driving"

nope, you haven't. Here's the relevant language:

30314.
(a) Commencing January 1, 2018, a resident of this state shall not bring or transport into this state any ammunition that he or she purchased or otherwise obtained from outside of this state
unless he or she first has that ammunition delivered to a licensed ammunition vendor for delivery to that resident pursuant to the procedures set forth in Section 30312.

If you legally bought ammo in California, whether or not it was before the effective date of this law, there is no restriction on you taking it out of state, and the law only prohibits you from bringing ammo into California that was purchased or otherwise acquired outside of the state. It was neither, it is ammo I left with and am returning to California with

nope, that is not probable cause for a search warrant. But seriously, why do you want to argue this? DOJ employees aren't going to follow you into the state and go to a judge to get a search warrant, that's just plain silly, and the first time you break this law you can't even get arrested for it, you get a notice to appear because it's an infraction- so how excited are cops going to be about arresting you?

Me, I've never bought ammo for someone else's gun, but I've been given ammo -- some for a gun I don't own.

Well, there's a way to poison the database... get together and everyone buy ammo for everyone else's guns. Suddenly everyone shows up as owning every gun in the armory.

Some years ago there was a proposal that animal control could track down unlicensed pets by requiring a permit to buy dog food. That one didn't fly, but it's basically the same approach.

So... you got a receipt showing you bought it in CA?

Forget about CA DOJ watching the borders, what if they're watching this website?

You're very naive.....I won't do your research for you, but go and Google 'CA DOJ crosses state lines' or 'CA DOJ arrests out of state purchases'

They do not need a search warrant to pull you over and search your vehicle.....you do not understand probable cause obviously......this already happening.

Wake up! Particularly if you're gun owner 'as you claim'.....

You don't need one, it's not incumbent on you to prove it, it's on the state to prove you didn't.
