S0, how are the winters? much snow ? temps,? looked at the weather info, just trying to get a better feel from people that live there, i am retired looking for property, for cabin ,like the area , Also, how difficult to build ,small cabin,remote, with regards to zoning requirements,,? thinking of off grid power also,,thanks,

The climate in California is exactly the same in every part of the state.

You need to specify where in California you're thinking of. We have a number of climate zones.

CA gets more snow than anywhere else in North America. In CA it can get to minus 20 or colder. In CA it can get to 125* in summer. In CA you can get 80” of rain per year.

Now you know about the snow and the weather in CA.

Go type in “California” on Google and get a basic understanding about this state, then come back and ask more specific questions. Your post is way too vague and you seem to have little or no knowledge about how huge and diverse CA is.
