Reactive chemicals (acids, metallic salts, etc.) commonly denature proteins. Virus proteins are subject to this as well. Not surprising if salt solution has some effect, but bleach probably works better.

True, but it "kills" it's effects.

Yes, but salt does not carry any significant harm in such small quantities needed, or no one could put salt on their food.

Plus I enjoy the salt air at the beach.

Probably tastier than bleach anyway.

LOL. Newsome's replacement would be even worse than he is.

The trend is, every subsequent liberal Democrat is more radical than the last. If it is fun to recall Newsome, go for it. Have your fun. It will solve nothing and guarantee we Californians have an even more radical Marxist governor even sooner.

But go ahead, have your fun. It "feels" like something positive is being done, even though the outcome will actually be worse.

I've said much the same -- much as he needs "You're fired!" -- who will replace him??

Devin Nunes said something interesting -- that he thinks this is partly fueled by Kamala Harris wanting to clear the field for her expected run for POTUS in 2024. (Given that even Newsom is probably more popular....)

Republican political strategist Matt Rexroad compared the pandemic to the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks, saying it would be an extremely challenging crisis for any politician. Still, Rexroad believes Newsom’s missteps allowed many Californians to lose faith in him. Voters seemed to have more confidence in previous governors — including Republican Pete Wilson and Democrat Jerry Brown — in times of crisis, he said.

“I don’t think anyone doubted that either one of them could make the trains run on time,” Rexroad said. “I don’t know that Gov. Newsom gets that benefit of the doubt.”

Newsom a total complete failure in getting the vaccine available. His state of the state last night a total dud.

It’s fine to have a fail-safe mechanism to deal with truly corrupt or incompetent or dangerous elected officials. But the rest of the time, let’s give our officials a chance to do the jobs they were elected to do. California’s process is too chaotic, costly and unpredictable to use on a regular basis every time voters are irked at a politician.
