Kudos Californians for showing the world how to grow a damn economy

The State's GDP has grown by 51% since 2010, well above the 35% rate for the entire country.

Why do republicans always talk about leaving the state and the state will then fall into the ocean after they're gone?

California didn't have a thing to do with it, Democrats hatred of business suppressed it if anything. It's all Trumps friendly to business and opening up stupid Democrat laws that curbed business that did it.

inflation + high cost of living = overstatement of economic vitality

True test of economic strength is rate of home ownership

Really? Hmm. That’s why Germany (world ranked 4th economy - one step higher than California) has a home ownership rate of 51% compared to California’s 56%?

Guess which country has the world’s highest rate of home ownership? - Romania. 96.4%
Cuba is at 90%

Want to compare the economic strength of Romania and Cuba to California?

Fact is: the US ranks 44th in the world for home ownership ... yet we are the world’s strongest economy. I suppose you have a mitigation argument for that.

They (republicans) think that they are magical geniuses and that they must be present in large numbers for a place to be successful. If not, it's going to "turn into Venezuela" I've heard that ad nauseam.

The reality is that most of the Republican Party, under Trump, have become maladjusted to education, progress and change.

Almost all of the Republicans I've known have been civil servants (usually county, state or federal) and were pulled into that workforce by a relative. That, in itself, is irony enough when you listen to how much they moan and complain about "socialism" and "taxes". They do nothing but count down days until retirement, never really contributing much to their workforce outside of the bare minimum. They continue to complain endlessly about immigrants but lack the ambition of said immigrants.

Then they'll retire off to Arizona or Idaho and continue to contribute nothing, yet still bitterly moan about "the libruls" "the Mexicans" and the taxes they lived their entire lives extracting from other people to support their way of life.

I’ve known civil servants that are liberal and conservative. I work with people that are exceptional in their field that are liberal and conservative. I’ve known people that were lazy and, again (shocking) liberal and conservative. Lazy and great come in all forms and political leanings.

I work with a liberal guy that has to rage about Trump in every meeting we have. One liberal woman had to go home early the day after the presidential election because her fragile psyche couldn’t handle her precious Hillary losing. I could look at them and conclude liberals are whiny little fragile creatures.

Both parties suck. The success of California is due to everyone, not just the liberals and not in spite of the republicans. Your hatred of conservatives and republicans is evident. Just don’t let it make you bitter.
