My yard is fine with electric tools but I'm very against telling others what to do. I could see at most a tax on gas powered tools being implemented...

And what is the purpose of that tax ? To curtail the ownership of something ,a gas machine. .How totalitarian can the state get.
Raising the tax so only the wealthy can afford to run a lawn mower. Then it becomes the American dream.LOL

But where will people play croquet?

Well, you'd get more exercise if you used a scythe. And you might have a mystical experience, if you got good at it.

I believe the hardest hit would be gardeners as it would be hard to get electricity supply in some areas. I be curious how would it work in reality. Especially as there are no nearby electricity supply in a lot of places. Does it mean dragging around a gasoline generator which may negate the point of such a ban.

I have a weed eater that uses a high capacity 18v battery. No issues. If you can run a lightbulb, charging a battery is doable

Think about how ridiculous all of this is. Does anyone actually believe that banning lawnmowers is going to change the weather? What about even more popular proposals raising taxes, banning meat, purposely bidding up energy prices. Will any of this change the weather? Of course not. This is all so stupid.

I don’t know anything about powered yard tools, so I was wondering if there were electric ones that had a rechargeable battery. It makes sense because you can’t always plug in, especially if it’s a large area.

Planes will never be banned. It would inconvenience the climate change leaders, politicians and celebrities that scream about carbon footprints. Didn’t Governor Arnold scream about climate change and drive a hummer?
