There’s not much in Newsom announcement today, almost a pipe dream. I still don’t understand why children have to be in schools for the businesses to be opened. It seems like they are not related.

Even so, some businesses could be reopen despite no childcare. My company was letting people with no childcare work from home while others didn’t need it. Many of us either don’t have children or our children are grown.

Seems like it could be part of the answer. If they want social distancing at work, allow the people who need childcare to work from home if possible and reopen for the others. Less people at work means more social distancing.

One restaurant I frequented was closed, yesterday I checked, was going to do take out to help it, but it’s family owned and no body needs childcare. Seem to me they should let people decide this for themselves. Not all businesses have employees that need childcare. I know my daughters business doesn’t. So let some that can open open.

6 key things they must pass before he can reopen. One restaurant I go to, always bare enough to keep 6 feet social distancing. The only good thing is I’ve read is that they can print disposable menus.

I agree, Mike. Just saying that child care is a probable issue in their thinking. But maybe not.

I read all that. I said that I didn't read any reference to your comment, "I still don’t understand why children have to be in schools for the businesses to be opened."

He didn't say that, from your link this is what he said:
Quote:
The state is exploring ways businesses and schools can reopen in a safe and responsible manner, but the governor indicated mass gatherings such as sporting events and concerts will not be permitted to take place in the near future.
