I wonder why India has such small number of cases and deaths from coronavirus?
It has 40K cases versus US 1.2M, and about 1.3K deaths versus US 68K.
Its population is about 4 times of US.
Western sanitation practices aren't widespread or available.
There's a lot of crowding and extended families living together.
It borders with China and in general, there was a lot of air travel in and out of India, travel inside it. Worst kind of air pollution in cities. They did install quarantine, but it's not really possible to truly enforce it there.

3 months ago it was predicted that epidemic would spread like wildfire through it...and there's not much of anything seems to be happening...It's not like China where they control the internet and no free media. If they were hiding the situation it'd have leaked long time ago. There's probably under-reporting for deaths and lack of testing but if there was really widespread epidemic this would have been noticed and known worldwide by now.

I don't see mine there. Truth is, I can't wear any mask. I'll touch my face if I do. I can't things on my face so it's safer for me to go without. Besides, I'm not around people that much anyway. Once a week is about all. So far, so good.

But, I just read that the masks we're receiving now are of inferior quality. Guess who's making the masks that we're importing? Three guesses and the first two don't count

More people ignoring Newsom. He needs to reopen the places with low rates. And stop people invading them.

There is gym in Victorville that reopened and the owner is willing to take it to federal court and fight any attempt to close him down. People are starting to get sick and tire of this stay at home order and soon will completely ignore it. It seems Newsom think he can control the citizens but reality is once people start running out of money, all bets are off.

President Trump on Sunday sharply revised upward his projected toll of U.S. coronavirus deaths, saying that fatalities could reach 100,000, even as he defied warnings from leading public health experts and renewed his calls for a quick reopening of businesses across the country.

With this continued social separation and all the bars closed, I guess we'll never determine whether Miller Lite tastes great or is less filling...

He had no choice, he predicted 60k and we are over it. 100k actually seems low considering we are already at 68k. 100k+ is probably on the low end and more likely it will be around 150k+.
