The taxation of Indian casinos is complex but I found this resource and it should answer all of your questions:
https://lao.ca.gov/2007/tribal_casin...os_020207.aspx That's an old source but I can't find a comprehensive current one. I know that since that was written the state now receives far less money from the casinos, the majority now going to local projects

On May 7, sportswriter Chris Dufresne wrote:

I've rarely set foot outside my house in two months.

Government types and a large segment of our citizenry have made the calculation that people like me need to "take one for the team."

Let the virus swirl among the healthy masses, the theory goes, so that we can start the NFL season on time in the hope "herd immunity" will take the virus out.

People over 60 need to be protected, of course, so long as it doesn't impact the stock market.

Beyond that, Grandpa, it's been nice knowing you."

He died Monday, in Chino Hills, California.

That's really sad. He grew up in my home town and we went to the same university, too. I wonder what he died of--heart attack, stroke?

I just surmised from the last part of the article by his friend which said:

God bless, you, buddy. Those last days were filled with cancer-caused pain that you bore with great dignity. R.I.P. We will miss you. Big-time.

In any case, he was certainly correct that he would have been very vulnerable if infected by Covid-19.
