That might be a tactic to blame the teachers, and it can't be legal per Federal standards to cancel all schooling.

It's doubtful. But we can't ruin the narrative that the entire state of AZ is now free of the virus.

Who said that? I think your thinking Sweden. Az isn’t doing too shabby though with 330 positives yesterday out of a 7.2 million population How’s Ca doing???

Typical union teachers are still having a hissy fit but they’ll have to get off their asses and go to the classrooms soon. Red states don’t put up with that BS

It’s so cute how you treat these ups and downs like a sophomoric high school cheerleader at a pre-game rally. .

Glendale has the right idea.
They're set to turn campuses strictly into childcare for families who have no other options.

Quote:

Superintendent Vivian Ekchian said she came up with the idea after noticing that many young children of essential workers didn't have proper childcare when schools were forced to pivot to remote learning in March due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

"We learned very early and during the pandemic that our parents who are essential workers, parents who could not work from home or parents who had multiple kids, had a dire need for childcare," Ekchian told CNN

It would be nice if everyone tried to remember these "covid cases" are actual human beings getting sick with the virus. Ya'll act like they're just numbers on a chart and then find enjoyment in arguing over which state is doing better. Not a gdamn one of them is doing that great, not as long as there's one active case. Truly sad

Seriously? You won't be happy until there are zero Covid cases in every state? You're going to be unhappy for a long, long time.

It has to do with safety. And many others besides teachers can become infected.

Right. Again, it has to do with safety.

"UNC-Chapel Hill will move all undergraduate classes online starting Wednesday, after 130 more students tested positive for the coronavirus, the university announced Monday, 8/17."
