I still remember the history that Native Americans had been hit hard by diseases they unlike the settlers did not have immunity from such as the common cold which many did not recover from unlike their settler counterparts. Thus I be surprised if they are careless with this just because they want the money or they really know what they are doing. Many reservations I heard were locked down hard and may still be locked down. Interestingly I noticed that supermarkets and convenience stores in reservations within CA as with state and national parks or military bases are not required to do the no thin plastic must charge for paper or thick plastic ordinance of SB270. Guess they are sovereign on this. And native Americans are environmentally mindful. So I assume they are smart on this matter rather than fall into whatever faddish junk science environmentalism the global mainstream media is trying to push.

We are also increasing the frequency of disinfecting all touch points including: push plates and door handles; slot machines; table game rims; chairs; escalators; all touch points in hotel rooms and restaurants; counters; and many more," Simpson's statement read in part, adding that the property's “triple-stage" air filtration system includes ultra violet lights that disinfect the air.“

Based on what experts in infectious disease concluded re: opening schools, it seems that the massive air exchanger systems in the casinos are the key component. So why isn't this a thing elsewhere?

I'd hate to find out that the reason no outbreaks have been linked to the casinos is simply because the county hasn't done a good job crunching contact tracing data.

In case people need another case study of indoor gatherings spreading coronavirus and causing harm to people who were minding their own business

Some new guidelines on reopening are coming this week.

I am starting to believe that indoor barber/salon services are banned because the health authorities don't want lengthy services performed (masks don't work against hours of exposure) and would have difficulty enforcing that. Those services are not feasible outdoors.

But a haircut doesn't take that long, especially if you don't have your hair blown dry afterward. I guess they can't open them for some services but not for others.

Re: "masks don't work against hours of exposure." a) Who spends hours in a barbershop or salon? and b) if masks didn't work, we'd have a lot more grocery store employees with COVID-19. And we don't.

I don't think any customer spends that length of time in a barbershop, but so far the government hasn't created a different set of rules, maybe because some establishments are hybrids.

"Chemical services," which I forgot to explicitly mention, can take hours. I think that might include both straightening and coloring, then maybe blow drying afterward. (There's a post in the Fashion forum about someone's appointment in the spring lasting 3 hours.)

If the space is small and ventilation poor, then there's serious risk of transmission despite masks as hours go by. Most modern grocery stores aren't designed that way. Edit: I'm revising my statement to indicate that the infection probably will be less severe with a mask worn.

Speaking of hair stylists I be curious have average human hair length increased since the beginning of 2020. Are people having longer hair not only because barbar shops and hair salons are shutdown but even if they are open people loathe to go there to get their hair done?

Just curious what has become of the airports these days? Does this mean most airport services are barebones? i.e no dining in airports during layovers all food to go only especially in California due to the indoor dining ban, of course massages and salons in airports would not open?

Ive been to 3 airports lately. OC airport is dead half the airport is shut down with only one TSA open. All the restaurants are closed but the store with magazines and snacks is open. Phoenix is fully open lots of people there with most restaurants and stores open. Boise Airport is fully open and lots of people. You need to wear a mask all the time at all airports. On the planes there’s no drink cart and the flight attendants just stand around the whole flight but you can bring your own food and drinks. You have to wear a mask the whole flight unless you’re eating or drinking. There’s no social distancing on the flights they pack them as full as possible on American.

I think all airports are Federal property and as such don't have to close restaurants. However, they probably defer to most local recommendations.

It appears these days its even more important to know what cities you make connections if you have to make a connection to get to your destination whether its in a restrictive area or not. I bet its smart for now to avoid all California and New York airports for a layover as mentioned that food and drinks options are meager in flights and that airport restaurants are either closed or unavailable for dining in. I be curious about to go though. Don't know about Washington though. This could be a nightmare experience of hunger and thirst though I hear airlines do offer bottled water. I am surprised airlines and airports seems to be out of the "social distancing" scheme and that planes can be packed in like sardines again. Or I guess otherwise very few people are able to travel as we have limited planes flying should the middle seat be kept empty aside from family members.
