Flu shots are for existing flu's not new ones or Covid. So if a Twindemic hits no current flu shot will help.

You come up with a different excuse for not wearing a mask every time you post here

It's probable that a lot of people who get the flu will think they have Covid and rush to emergency rooms, if fewer people get it, hospitals wouldn't be overwhelmed with flu patients. But it appears that it might prevent some Covid deaths and mitigate serious side effects of Covid. A study of 90,000 people in Brazil who caught covid after getting the flu vaccine concluded that

Quote:
Patients who had the flu shot had 8% lower odds of needing intensive care and about 20% fewer odds of requiring respiratory support. Overall, they found that people vaccinated in the current round were protected but not those vaccinated earlier. Those who were vaccinated before developing symptoms of COVID-19 had 20% reduction in the odds of mortality. Still, if given after the onset, the vaccine was linked to a 27% reduction in the odds of death, though the difference is not significant https://www.news-medical.net/news/20...mortality.aspx

See: What viruses will the 2020-21 flu vaccines protect against?

Stay at home, lock the doors and cower while the rest of us live our lives.
As long as I'm not paying for it, through insurance premiums or taxes, let them cower.

With all the masks, social distancing, lowered capacity, and sanitization there's also a good chance the flu season will be less severe than normal. That's kind of what happened in the southern hemisphere this past winter.

It will also prove how well we can prevent the spread of flu so will that inspire us to shut down the world to prevent those deaths in the future too?

California governor's office says to put on mask between bites

Put on your mask in between bites but also minimize how much you take your mask off? WTF? Some of this stuff is so stupid, I don't get how they expect us to take it seriously when they put stuff out there like this.
