I am not specifically referring to just post Covid 19 but politicians always are following the advise of different sources depending on which shouts the loudest as they are no expert in every situation. This is how lobbying is done to buy votes from politicians.

Though there is still no proof that local governments who deploy control freak tactics or issue more citations do better than the ones that don’t. Even within the same state or country. Everyone rides the same wave up and down regardless of what they done or not done. Whether they relax or stress about it. Whether they ban people from public spaces such as natural spaces or otherwise or not But lockdowns do bring on unintended consequences which the media constantly overlooks.

No, it wasn't "tossed" by the appellate court. It's the same case. The appeal was met on procedural issues. Go read all the briefs submitted between the genesis of the case and the latest decision.
I don't want to read any more about it, this is just ridiculous and is more about the desire of a rural county to put itself on the map than anything else. But seriously, do you really think that this case will not be overturned?

He does it all the time and somehow manages to get away with it. And yes, it is quite rude. He doesn’t like to be proven wrong. It’s his defense mechanism.

Oh, for heaven's sake. He has a sense of humor, which is something we all need, especially at this point.

This sounds like June wishful thinking. My county is back at July new case daily rates, 5X higher than it was just a week ago.

I used to think we wouldn't see another wave bigger than the summer one, but ND, SD, TX, etc show that this virus can indeed infect 30-40% of the population and still have plenty of room to run.

Opening restaurants and gyms is going to get most everyone infected long before a vaccine is available.

It sure is. All it takes is 15 minutes inside.

Pfizer just announced that their vaccine looks like it has a 90% effectiveness rate in their study. “The preliminary results could pave a way for vaccine by year end.”

Encouraging.

Well, a local government official might need to rein this Sun Valley church pastor in.

County health inspectors had tried to enter the church in previous weeks but were blocked by security guards. “We do not consent to a search or visit,” a security guard told the inspectors, reading from a prepared statement in early August. “This is a Jesus Life Matters protest.”

If the inspectors had been allowed inside, they would have seen thousands of congregants sitting side by side, most without masks. They hugged and sang hymns and shook hands and erupted in applause during MacArthur’s sermon.

"There’s another virus loose in the world, and it’s the virus of deception,” MacArthur told the congregation in his Aug. 30 sermon. “And the one who’s behind the virus of deception is the arch deceiver Satan himself.”

Jesus lives matter is a new one. As a Christian, it makes absolutely no sense to me.

Nice but will public be willing to take it? I suspect around 40-45% of public will refuse this vaccine.
