First three months have been great in California , and it looks like it will be a down year for crime(next year will likely see an increase tho )
Other parts of the country haven't been so lucky.

Put any 2020 crime stats here about your town, city or neighboring cities.

Have you noticed a decline in crime this year?
Do you feel safer?

If this thread gets enough traction, I'll keep it up to date for the year.

Homicides

Portland, Or 3
Los Angeles 46
Dallas 46
Kansas City 39

I have no local stats, but my Fontana business hasn't been broken into since last June. Prior to that, there had been multiple break-ins over the span of a year. That's all I know.

Now watch what happens. I posted this, so now some meth head with no teeth will break in this weekend.

The good news is that the Police are free because they are not pulling me over and that is amazing.

Looks like Los Angeles is bucking the trend and has had an increase in homicides.
Has the increase come from gangs or other reasons? Good for LA that this virus is slowing down crime.

Where is San Diego? I already can see with my eyes the beginning of folks losing their marbles.
Nice to know the Police have stopped issuing citations and I imagine same with the CHP

Driving is FUN for now

My BIL just got released from jail Sunday so I expect someone to become the victim of identity fraud in the near future. Newport Beach area.

I heard San Diego had 6 murders a few weeks ago, which would make it one of the safest cities in America. No clue where it stands now.
Gl, hopefully people don't go crazy down there.

LA is at 60 as of 3/28 per LAPD CompStat (LA Times Homicide Report says 56, but they usually run behind the official LAPD stats). Still, that's only 3 more than 2019 at this time. In Jan and Feb we were running quite a bit above 2019, but March has been really quiet. Only 12 homicides in March, the last one per LA Times was back on March 21st.
