Hi, I'm a 16 year old girl in Chester, Virginia, and as much as this place is my home, I'm really considering moving to somewhere in Cali as soon as legal presence arrives [when I turn 18] and I'd like some suggestions about beach-towns/cities/ even suburbs I should consider, and some good solid advice about jobs/housing/transport/ect.

Reasons I want to move;
Virginia can be nice, but I'm a warm-weather lover and frequent beach go-er, anddd I possitivly hate my dad, so I figured; opposite side of the country? None of my crazy assed southern-consertive relatives [excluding my mom and sister] can find me there. Weed-smoking is pretty rampant there also... and I'm not like, a pothead or anything but I enjoy the occasional buzz I have a couple friends who say they'll be my roomates, along with my mom and sis I think I'd be okay monetarily...

Feedback please

-Hathair

What are your skills?
How much money do you think you will earn per month?
Will you have a car?
Is the military an option for you?
Is college an option for you?
Is a trade school an option for you?
Will you have health insurance?

How much money do you think you will earn per month? Depends on the ****-job I'll be getting
Will you have a car? Most likely, also depending on where I move to.

Is a trade school an option for you? not really

The obvious answer is to concentrate on school, apply to college, and go to California as a student.

The money you earn with the skills/maturity/experience/ and lack of jobs here in the Golden State might buy you just about the dime bag (if you haven't already saved up) you will beg to smoke once you arrive and realize you can't afford food or a roof over your head or even the tickets that your car will receive when cops determine that you're living in said car.

Hey, check out the San Francisco boards for more inspiration..There's a lot of really good advice and practicalities about the current economic climate/head's up of the Bay Area region and California in general.
