Skelator Pelosi would have foamed at the mouth urging mandatory visitations to Chinatowns in LA and SF. The hypocrisy of these clowns is amazing to witness.

Oh and Covid-19 is not even close to being under control etc.

These numbers are disastrous but are not really a surprise given Donald Trump's personal record as a business failure and fraud. The national economy is now an expanded version of the Trump organization, only no smoke and mirrors to conceal the facts from the public.

What measures can California take at this point? Any ideas?
Trump has nothing to do with it. You guys brag about being the 5th largest economy in the world, and your state still can't run itself properly.

This is because you accept too many illegal immigrants who use up resources meant for Americans in need. You guys have a problem, and throwing more money at the problem is not going to fix it. You need to change your inane policies that allow your huge deficits to happen in the first place.

Trump is not going to help you. Charity begins at home.

4th largest economy in the world now. Do try to keep up.

If we ran the state the way you think it should be run - uh, do ya think we could climb even higher? Lol.

Trump is in no position to help anyone. Thank God at least the House of Representatives is run by real leaders.

Also the federal govt is far worse off than California. We were already being dragged down but Trump has turned out to be the captain of the Titanic, sinking the country farther into the depths than any president, EVER.

I like the idea of likeminded states banding together--that appears to be the only forward under Trump, who is too busy licking the sht out of putin'sass to even pretend to care about the American people.

CA+NY+WA+MA+NJ+OR+CT+MD+HI+IL+MN+CO+NM should form some sort of economic alliance that bypasses federal meddlng. Possibly PA and MI too.

We clearly need to look out for ourselves.

Lol. That’s some tough geography to unite ... but I’ll rep the sentiment

No, of course Trump isn't responsible for the virus itself it's not like he created it and he's not responsible for what happens in other countries, but as far as what has transpired in the US, I don't see anyone other than Trump to blame. The information on the pandemic was provided to him during daily briefings in January and February a dozen times. In January & February his economic advisor, Peter Navarro wrote pleading memos begging him to take action and warning him that failure to act could result in a million deaths.

Had he seized on the information provided and pursued an early program of containment he would have been a hero remembered in history books for decades. But he botched this from the start, he tried to ignore it thinking it would somehow go away. So, who else other than Trump should we blame for the mess we are in right now?

And what's making him look even stupider and meaner than he would have otherwise is the daily testing of his staff in order to protect him, but at the same time he publicly announces that there's no real reason to test anyone else in the US.
