They could stop him. Send in the County Sheriffs and shut him down, but as of today and yesterday, Alameda County hasn't lifted a finger to stop him.

Wonder why?

Anyway, even CNN called it "capitulation" today.
I generally do not think that big corp suing the counties into submission (especially poor counties which don't have funds for legal battles with them, and Alameda isn't one of them) is a good thing, but reading the Tesla filing makes it obvious they're in the right and have grounds. There're very reasonable arguments in this filing.
The governor himself stated that the county and the company already agreed that the factory would open on the 17th, and that he was surprised by the lawsuit and tweets.

So this was all for what exactly? That's my question. My guess is to rile upTrump supporters and that's exactly what happened.

Because highly educated, affluent and diverse areas tend to be more measured and calculated than ignorant rednecks who tote guns to protest the need to wear masks and protect each other from a deadly virus.

That's my guess.

Where are the past-dated articles or county tweets stating that Tesla was allowed to open on the 17th, by Alameda county?
I only had seen info that while Newsom OK reopening of Tesla already, Alameda county wouldn't give a date and was working on it. And Tesla lawsuit is partially based on Alameda county contradicting the state and Newsom, in fact; stating that CA State/Governor allow Tesla to operate but Alameda county does not. All news sources say today that only now Tesla reaches deal with the county, to officially reopen next Monday. County did not give any reopening dates until today.

Right, the same state that is using the CHP to arrest people paddle boarding by themselves in Malibu, won't shutdown a 10,000 person factory because they aren't "rednecks" and are trying to act "measured".

Alameda County knows they're already losing the PR battle to Musk in keeping the county shut down and that they cannot shut him down due to the political consequences of trying to do so. That's the actual truth.

Especially since usually, doctors, Scientists and Public Health Care Officials generally dont need to launch a pr campaign when they implement measures meant to save lives.

But then, this is the age of Trump when the Dow is more important than the lives of grandparents and factory workers, right?

So California is all bark and no bite. First the northern counties reopen against Newsom’s orders and he issued a stern statement saying its bad. Now we have the unconditional surrender of the Alameda County Public Health dept to Musk.

Yeah, Newsom’s got everything under control.

Didn't those same experts predict 40% of the state's population would be infected by April, and we might not have enough hospital beds ready for all the "casualties"?

Then the actual TRUTH came out?

All data available on: https://data.chhs.ca.gov/

Unless you think CHHS data is somehow wrong, are you seriously trying to jump on the bandwagon with the supposed experts aka "fear peddlers"?

I hope Elon picks up and moves Tesla to a free state.

Liberals hate successful businesses, but love their tax revenue.
Alameda County blinked and Musk can reopen.
