No one overlooked the protesters....or the rioters, or the graduations, or the birthday parties, or the visits to grandma, or the weddings, or the barbeques, or the 4th of July parties....

Luckily newsom solved this potential issue by banning indoor protests. So we’re all good.

You’re right. The media and liberal politicians absolutely didn’t overlook the protestors. They flat out defended that group as if they couldn’t have contributed.

Now that you brought it up, all the pictures I've seen of protesters have shown almost all of them wearing masks. Can't say the same thing about Trump rallies.

They were also a lot more massive, standing shoulder to shoulder, and yelling. Didn’t the media also say deploying tear gas and smoke bombs would help spread the virus and didn’t protesters get hit with them? It just defies logic that massive crowds of people standing so close would not spread the virus. Masks reduce transmission, it doesn’t stop it. It’s unbelievable how much that has been down played. I’m typically not some media skeptic but this doesn’t help with their credibility which is already questionable among a lot of people.

I'm not denying that there was likely some spread from these protests. As much as I support the cause, that's the main reason I didn't attend. Still, doesn't change the fact that many others on the conservative side are using this as an excuse to continue not using a mask. Two wrongs (in terms of congregating) don't make a right.

Can you really blame them though when you see this denial/downplaying by the media/politicians? How do you expect people who are already skeptical to buy into it? The media/politicians just made a bad situation (non-believers etc..) even worse with this denial/downplaying of protests.
