One of the blessings of California is that we are full of good universities and educated people. In no particular order, the good universities are:

-- Univ. of California Berkeley
-- Univ. of California Los Angeles
-- Univ. of California Irvine
-- Univ. of California San Diego
-- Univ. of California Davis
-- Univ. of California Santa Barbara
-- Univ. of California San Francisco
-- Univ. of California Santa Cruz
-- Univ. of California Riverside
-- Univ. of California Merced
-- San Jose State University
-- Fresno State University
-- California State University Long Beach
-- California Polytechnic State University San Luis Obispo
-- California Polytechnic State University Pomona
-- California Institute of Technology (CalTech)
-- Pitzer College
-- Scripps College
-- Occidental College
-- Biola University
-- Chapman University
-- Azusa Pacific University
-- Whittier College
-- University of Redlands
-- Harvey Mudd College
-- Claremont McKenna College
-- Pomona College
-- Claremont Graduate University
-- California Lutheran University
-- Stanford University
-- California Institute of the Arts
-- Mills College
-- Pepperdine University
-- University of Southern California
-- University of San Francisco
-- Loyola Marymount University
-- Salk Institute for Biological Studies
-- Loma Linda University
-- Woodbury University

In addition to the aforementioned mix of public and private universities, we have a good system of State Universities (the CSUs) which offer a pathway into nursing, teaching, administration, etc.

Additionally, the Community College system offers many courses that can lead to certification in one of the trades (HVAC, electrician, fire science, nursing, child care, billing, etc). So, as you can see...plenty of options!

The average annual salary for a programmer in Bangladesh is $5,800.
The average annual wage is $2,000.

If she wants to study at the best university, she is looking to pay 40 annual wages for 1 year. How many years does she want to study?

Among the best, depending on price and how much you are willing to invest in your education:

Stanford
USC
Berkeley
UCLA
All 4 are great schools

Also Cal Tech has to be considered at the top or the list
USC......University of Spoiled Children.

Stanford....for spoiled children with a scientific bent. If you cannot get into Berkeley, there is always Stanford for rich kids.

UCLA....Not Berkeley, but better than the two above.

Berkeley.....See the three above.

Cal Tech....well, if you cannot get into Cal Tech, there is always Berkeley.

Best for what? Overall? Best is relative to what subject one is studying, as not all programs are created equal at each university.

Having just read their yelp page, i will disagree. It seems to be school where everyone goes that can't get in to a better school. Impacted major gpa is only 2.5 which is pretty low.

Always some negative Nancy's on Yelp...it's not Stanford, but a good public CSU college and much more affordable...Bill Handel on KFI is a CSUN alumnus...
